Common questions
How do I connect my Kalshi or Polymarket account?
In the app, go to Settings → Connected accounts. For Kalshi, add your API key; for Polymarket, add your public wallet address. Once connected, Kesin imports your positions automatically — even while the app is closed — so you never have to log a trade by hand.
Is my Kalshi API key safe?
Yes. Your key is encrypted before it's stored and is only ever used server-side to read your positions. It is never returned to the app or shared with anyone. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Connected accounts, which deletes the stored key.
My P&L looks wrong — how do I reset it?
Settings → Danger zone → Reset portfolio data clears all your positions and stats (your journal, watchlist, alerts, and connected accounts are kept). If you have an account connected, your current open positions re-import on the next sync — a clean slate with accurate data.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled through your Apple ID. On your device: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Kesin, where you can change or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the current period ends.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: Settings → Delete account. It's a two-step confirmation, and it permanently removes your account along with your positions, journal, watchlist, alerts, connected-account credentials, and push registrations — immediately and irreversibly. Does Kesin place trades for me?
No. Kesin is a tracker and journal — it reads your positions to show P&L and analytics, but never places, changes, or closes trades. You trade on Kalshi or Polymarket directly.
Is connecting my Kalshi account read-only?
Not quite, and we'd rather be blunt about it: Kalshi API keys are full-access. Kalshi does not offer a read-only key, so the key you paste into Kesin is technically capable of placing trades. Kesin only ever uses it to read your positions — but you are trusting us with a credential that can do more than that. Your key is encrypted before storage, decrypted only inside our server functions, and never returned to the app or shared with anyone. Disconnecting in Settings → Connected accounts deletes it. Treat the key like a password, and if you would rather not hand one over, manual logging is free and always will be.
Polymarket is different: it needs only your public wallet address, which is genuinely read-only and involves no keys or permissions at all.
